RAVENS MAKE BIG
IMPACT ON VICTORIES:

Ravens' Kicker Sam Madia
Boots His Way To M.V.P. of Final
Ravens' Receiver Andy Fantuz
M.V.P. of Entire Cup Tournament

Team Ontario - National Champions
The Essex Ravens made a big impact on Team Ontario's quest for gold.  Andy Fantuz was the M.V.P. of the semi-final against Nova Scotia, and Sam Madia was named M.V.P. of the National Final with his howitzer-like kickoffs and field goals that helped turn the tide against the powerful Manitoba Provincial Team.

Losing at Halftime:  Team Ontario was down 24-10 at the half and it looked like nothing could be done to penetrate the Manitoba defence, but Ravens' receiver Andy Fantuz struck 4 times and Madia's kicking scored hits at critical moments and also put the westerners in the back 40 for much of the game.

Andy Fantuz was named M.V.P. of the entire Canada Cup Tournament.
