The Essex Ravens have placed winners in THREE categories of the Ontario Tackle Football's Academic Excellence Awards of 2004 and are extremely proud of the academic accomplishments of our players!

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD
Brian Bulcke
Essex Ravens again are proud to announce that a Raven player was again presented with the Ontario Tackle Football Academic Excellence Award at the Vanier Cup on November 23, 2003.  The award was given to Brian Bulcke, the highest achieving student academically who also excels in football.  He also received a $250 bursary as well as a gold watch from Nike Canada Ltd. Brian was also presented with the Ontario Varsity Football League Top Academic Player award.  Congratulations Brian!

Essex Ravens' Steve Fantetti was presented with the Ontario Tackle Football Academic Excellence Award at the Vanier Cup on November 24, 2002.  The award is given to the highest achieving student academically who also excels in football.  He also received a $250 bursary as well as a gold watch from Nike Canada Ltd.  The watch is a reminder to us all that time spent studying is never wasted.
2001 OVFL ONTARIO VARSITY FOOTBALL LEAGUE
TOP ACADEMIC PLAYER
The OVFL chose Essex Ravens' Rob Gibb as the Top Academic Player in the league for 2001.  the award is given to the player who excels in both academic and athletic skills.
